Learn finger drumming, properly.
57 lessons across eight grades. Nine techniques tracked separately. A capstone exam at the end of every grade that you have to pass to move up. Built like a music syllabus, because that is what actually works.
$24.99 once. iPhone, iPad and Mac included.
Practice mode. Landscape, full width, nothing else on screen.
What you get
A syllabus, not a playlist
Eight grades, 57 lessons, and an exam at the end of each grade. You level up by passing, not by scrolling.
Nine techniques, tracked apart
timing, independence, dynamics, speed, feel, fills, switching, arrangement, sticking — each scored on its own, so you can see exactly which one is holding you back.
Scored runs
Star ratings, accuracy, combo and perfect-streak tracking. Personal bests, day streaks, a daily goal and trophies that accumulate.
Guided sessions
Tell it you have fifteen minutes and it picks what you should work on today, for where you actually are.
Play along to anything
Import a song and play over it. Speedbag can listen to a track and work out its tempo for you.
Song mode
Record a loop, then layer parts over the top of it until the whole thing is yours.
Hardware optional
Speedbag ships with an on-screen pad instrument. Every lesson and every exam works with it, so you can finish the entire syllabus without plugging anything in.
When you do want hardware, it works with USB MIDI pad controllers. There is a ready-made profile for the Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II, and other pad devices are supported through a mapping flow that asks you to hit each pad so it can learn your layout.
